My third Sea Shell drawing showing the shells in their full form makes the perfect coastal artwork. These tiny foraged sea shells brought to life in this beach side drawing. You may have guessed by now that I am a bit of a Bower Bird.
I have enlarged the sea shells to focus on their wonderful lines, colours and textures. The ocean and horizon is dramatically distant creating the illusion that the shells are giants on the beach. This series of drawings, ‘See Shells’ is both a play on words and perspectives. I chose these three shells that I have found on various walks along Australia’s beautiful beaches. All three have beautiful round, spiral shapes so this work was more about their colours and patterns. The more I looked at each the more you could define the lines, bring out these amazing array of colours.
The perfect coastal artwork for any home to serve as a constant reminder of the wonders of nature.
This artwork is the 2nd in the series of 6 drawings. Each is framed in Australian timber.
